Who is DILF?

A collaboration between two friends...

Lachlan George

Responsible for picking the grapes, pressing the wine and getting it into bottle winemaker Lachlan George began his career in the kitchen of iconic Adelaide restaurant Windy Point.  
After the successful completion of his apprenticeship Lachlan moved to 'The Kitchen Door' restaurant at Penny's Hill in McLaren Vale. It was during his time here that Lachlan was able to begin to understand the relationship between food and wine. Lachlan had caught the wine bug and in late 2008 he decided it was time for a career change.
Lachlan’s first taste of cellar work came in 2009 working a harvest at d’Arenberg and continued until the end of the 2010. Lachlan then spent a year working closely with one of South Australia's great winemakers, Justin Lane at Alpha Box and Dice before moving to Serafino and Wirra Wirra for the 2012 harvest.  

In late 2012 Lachlan moved to the United Kingdom, having explored wine regions in Spain, France, Italy and Germany. Working at the prestigious Sketch London, a two Michelin starred restaurant in Mayfair, Lachlan spent 6 years meeting some of the world's great wine makers, tasting and learning about their wines.  

A return to South Australia in 2018 prompted Lachlan to purchase wine making equipment...and DILF began!
