This Shiraz and the 2019 vintage marked the first year Lachlan and Joshua produced wine together. Taking a straightforward approach, this first vintage focussed on considered winemaking, fruit character and drinkability.
How does it taste...
Distinctive black fruit, stewed plum, earthy beetroot and blueberry. Whole bunch pressing provides a subtle green peppercorn note. Medium bodied with a creaminess on the palate, delicate tannin.

The influence of the legendary Rhone Valley styles, including the wines of Cornas, St.Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage, where a high percentage of whole bunch is common, has driven our approach for this 2019 vintage. This winemaking style gives grippy texture and an herbaceous quality. A decision to pick the fruit earlier for the DILF Shiraz resulted in fresh acidity and lower alcohol.
